10 Days
Upon your arrival on DAY 1, you will receive a warm welcome in Arusha or at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and then be taken to Arusha, the renowned starting point for northern Tanzania safari excursions. You will spend the night at a hotel in Arusha (BB), where you will be briefed and make final preparations for your exciting wildlife journey.
Get ready for DAY 2, starting with a departure at 8:30 AM from your hotel in Arusha. Remember to grab your picnic lunches as you head to Tarangire National Park, just 120km away. The Tarangire River attracts diverse wildlife, from massive herds of elephants to lions, zebras, and various bird species. This park is renowned for its large elephant populations. While there, you'll explore expansive seasonal swamps, follow the winding Tarangire River, and take in panoramic views of a wide array of wildlife, including zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and giraffes, all visible from the open roof of your safari vehicle. Watch for hunting lions and lounging leopards in the tree canopies. After an exciting day of wildlife observation, return to your lodge for a delicious dinner and a peaceful night's sleep.
On DAY 3, the journey to Serengeti National Park kicks off early, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Consider taking a side trip to Olduvai Gorge, a significant archaeological site where Drs. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered evidence of early human existence in Africa. Following a delightful picnic lunch on a picturesque kopje in the Serengeti, an afternoon game drive awaits, culminating in a stay at Serengeti Tortilis Camp, just in time for dinner and an overnight stay.
On the fourth day, we'll exclusively explore Serengeti National Park. We'll have the chance to witness incredible wildlife scenes, including the breathtaking migration of wildebeests and zebras, and observe lion pride hunting. We'll take a break for a picnic lunch amidst our adventures and spend another night at the Serengeti Tortilis Camp.
Start Day 5 with an early breakfast and then head out for a morning game drive across the vast plains of the Serengeti. This area is known for its rich variety of wildlife and birds, especially during the migration seasons. After lunch, proceed to the Ngorongoro conservation area. You'll arrive at Karatu Acacia Farm Lodge by evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
On DAY 6, we'll kick off with an early breakfast before heading down to the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. This incredible geological wonderland is teeming with wildlife and diverse landscapes, offering a chance to glimpse the 'Big Five' in one of the most breathtaking settings on Earth. Later in the evening, we'll go to the Lake Manyara Kilima Moja Luxury Lodge for dinner and our overnight stay.
Start your day on the morning of the 7th with a sunrise game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Then, have a picnic lunch in the late morning before heading to Arusha airport for your flight to the captivating Zanzibar, also known as the Spice Island. You will be transferred to Dream of Zanzibar (HB) upon arrival.
On DAY 8, take the opportunity to relax at the stunning beaches of Zanzibar. Enjoy a leisurely day after breakfast, basking in the sun and ocean, and then have dinner and stay overnight at Dream of Zanzibar (HB).
On DAY 9, you can keep unwinding by the beach, engaging in water activities such as snorkelling, kayaking, and sailing on traditional dhows. It's a day dedicated to relaxation and enjoyment, followed by dinner and another overnight stay at Dream of Zanzibar.
On the last day, DAY 10, take your time to relax on the serene beaches of Zanzibar after breakfast. Enjoy a leisurely day before having a final dinner and spending the night at Dream of Zanzibar (HB).
